Taiwanese prosecutors have raided the homes of Lo Wen-jen, a former TSMC executive, following allegations of transferring sensitive chip technology documents to Intel. The investigation, prompted by a lawsuit from TSMC, centers on potential breaches of national security and intellectual property laws.

Lo, who led TSMC's R&D before departing in July, faces accusations of taking proprietary information to his new U.S.-based role. Intel has denied wrongdoing, while Taiwanese authorities scrutinize the case under tightened IP controls amid global semiconductor talent wars.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs is coordinating the probe, underscoring TSMC's strategic importance to Taiwan's economy and security. The scope of the alleged technology transfer remains unclear as investigators examine potential violations of critical technology export regulations.
